The Appeal
The 560SL was very much the R107 for a changing American market. New emissions controls prevented the USA from importing the 500SL, and in order to get around the tightening regulations, they opted for a larger engine - the largest that the legendary roadster ever carried.
The R107's glorious, rugged angles and deceptively comfortable cabins made it a practically unrivalled soft-top tourer, and has never been more popular with enthusiasts.
This '87 example, in a handsome Midnight Blue, comes to us with a clean CARFAX report and an impressively low mileage. Previously based in the USA, it's been recently imported to Europe, with all duties and VAT paid.
