The Appeal
The continuous improvement of the original Land Rover is the stuff of late night study and lengthy buyers’ guides. This 1989 90 brings together a raft of changes that make it particularly desirable amongst collectors. That it remains so factory correct is key to its appeal.
It is a rare high specification County model - it even retains the decals - and is one of the early ‘coil spring’ models. There is also power steering and a 5spd box to improve on-road motoring.
Finished in mid blue with white roof and versatile seven seat grey vinyl interior, it is in great condition. Since a comprehensive restoration eight years ago it has been little used as part of a Land Rover collection. Dry storage has helped its preservation.
It is said to run and drive well and benefit from four new tyres. If you plan to use it on the road it will need a fresh MOT.
