The Appeal
How the mighty have fallen.
Peugeot may be known today for its dreary SUVs, but in its heyday, the French manufacturer built some of the finest cars money could buy. This is one of them.
One of the last 505s made, this GTI Family is the coveted estate version, capable of transporting eight people in supreme comfort, style and speed. They're vanishingly rare, especially in the UK where the vendor believes this is one of only four or five example left on the road.
It's a remarkably original example and flaunts an enviable factory specification with heated seats, electric mirrors and a glass tilt/slide sunroof which was likely fitted early in the car's life. The vendor has also sourced and fitted an exceedingly rare genuine Peugeot roof rack, enhancing this most practical of cars even further - as well as looking unbelievably cool.
The car was in storage off the road between the years 2010 and 2021, so the vendor paid a specialist to carry out extensive recommissioning work. As a result, it not only presents superbly, it drives superbly too.
Complete with an advisory-free current MOT, this most excellent of modern classic estates awaits its next owner. Consider us deeply envious...

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
