The Appeal
While it's never quite hit the legendary status of the 911, Porsche's front-engined 4-cylinder sports car is a testament to Stuttgart's golden age. Muscular, eminently drivable and still very comfortable, these remarkably balanced machines are easy to handle and easy to drive - with endlessly cool pop-up headlights and a greenhouse cabin to match. Factor in a drop-top and you've got a very special car.
Previously owned by a friend of the seller and having been cherished throughout its life, this S2 Cabriolet is accompanied by a substantial history file. Earlier this year, the car was treated to a timing belt and water pump replacement along with fresh engine and transmission oil and spark plugs, all carried out by marque specialist Waleswood 944 Spec. A quality Dansk exhaust has been fitted, the only known deviation from factory standard.
With an MOT valid until May 2027, this 944 S2 Cabrio checks a lot of boxes and will no doubt thrill its lucky new keeper.image.png4.17 MB

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
