The Appeal
The E30 is often picked out as a true peak for the Boys in Bavaria: the last of the hand-built 3 Series, with rear-wheel-drive, potent performance and utterly timeless styling. The Cabriolet has become particularly sought after - after all, one of the only ways to make such a truly great car better is chopping the roof off and getting the wind in your hair.
This example is one of the run out 'Lux' models which included full leather sports seats, leather-wrapped M-Tech II 3-spoke steering wheel, leather gear knob, and often a better-quality interior trim.
Exterior wise - 15-inch BBS cross-spoke alloy wheels (or 14-inch on some models), de-chrome trim (black shadowline), and a rear boot lid spoiler. Electric windows, electric convertible roof (although this has been converted back to manual) and power steering!
This 1993 example comes to market with the reassurance of long-term ownership spanning over a decade, during which time it has been in regular use and maintained with a diligent service schedule, including frequent oil changes - along with a new alternator and radiator.
Eminently drivable and still more than capable more than 30 years later, this E30 Cabriolet is a practical entry point into BMW's most celebrated generation, and will no doubt prove a very capable, rewarding classic car. _DSC2616.jpg2.63 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
