The Appeal
For a car that was nearly killed off just a few years into production, the long lived XJS has matured into a doyen of the classic car world. Sleek, smooth and comfortable, it is perfect for weekend drives and holiday getaways, particularly in full convertible configuration.
This pretty, low mileage XJS surely ticks many buying boxes. To start with it is one of the later, facelifted and galvanised cars and is fitted with the highly regarded AJ6 4litre engine. Then there is the exceptionally low mileage, with only 55,000 miles covered since new. Add in a long, advisory-free MOT to February 2025 and you have a car that could be used daily. But perhaps it is best saved and savoured for indulgent weekends.
