The Appeal

The facelift Jaguar XJS 4.0 convertible is widely regarded as the most refined iteration of this iconic grand tourer. With its smooth straight-six engine, elegant lines and effortless cruising ability, it remains one of the most rewarding ways to cover long distances with the roof down.

This Diamond Blue example over grey leather has enjoyed a notably cosseted existence. Originally supplied new by St Helier Garages in Jersey, it spent its early years on the island, well away from the rigours of mainland UK winters. Since arriving on the mainland in 2007, it has continued to be garaged and used sparingly by a succession of careful custodians.
