The Appeal
The Volkswagen Corrado VR6 is widely regarded as one of the finest front-wheel-drive sports coupés of its era. Its narrow-angle 2.9-litre VR6 engine, Karmann-built bodywork, and speed-activated rear spoiler made it a standout when new, and today it enjoys cult classic status.
This 1994 example is a well-preserved car, showing just 4,392 miles on the odometer. Finished in Dragon Green metallic over grey leather with blue floor mats, it retains its factory specification without modification. The V5C records zero previous registered keepers, with the car having been in the first owner's hands for over 20 years before passing through two subsequent custodians who did not re-register it.
Earlier this year, the car received a programme of maintenance and cosmetic attention at Bushells Restorations. This included a new windscreen, thermostat, sunroof motor, and washer pump, alongside a full service with fresh fluids and filters. The wheels were refurbished, the underside cleaned and treated with Lanoguard, and the roof and cant rails repaired and repainted. It is noted that the bonnet has also been resprayed previously for cosmetic reasons.
Accompanied by its owner's manuals in their wallet, as well as the V5C, various maintenance invoices and two sets of keys, this is an opportunity to acquire a very low-mileage Corrado VR6 with documented history and recent professional attention.
