The Appeal
During it long life the humble Mini has been both simple suburban runaround, rally winner and giant-slaying race track weapon.
This smart Sprite cleverly brings together both strands – the unassuming simplicity of the Sprite with the aesthetics and spec of the later, upmarket sporting and luxury models.
It was comprehensively restored in 2022 at a cost of over £5,000 and benefits from more recent work to the suspension and exhaust system. The MOT runs to March with no advisories. It is a solid and very presentable example of this much-loved classic.
History and Paperwork

- We are told the odometer was replaced and the car therefore has covered 4,000 miles less than displayed

- Original red Sprite aesthetics with Cooper enhancements
- These include white roof, bonnet stripes, minilite-style 12in alloys and quartet of driving lights
- Bodywork in good order with some locaIised bubbling to note in photographs to nearside door
- Driver’s door sill also shows light deterioration
- Paintwork reflects recent respray work to front and roof, now showing some light marks
- There are a few light scuffs and marks around the car but nothing unsightly
- Chromework in good order with no visible damage
- Lights and glasswork present well

- Upgraded interior with anniversary 1989 black leather and fabric seats in good order
- Retains its original Sprite checked grey door trims
- Screen rubbers recently replaced and reported to seal correctly
