The Appeal
Named after the derring-dos undertaken by Birkin and Duff at the notoriously bumpy Surrey oval, the Brooklands gives buyers the looks of the Turbo without the fuss or complication. This car leans into the theme with its classic British Racing Green paintwork and walnut-lined cream leather cabin.
Just 625 Brooklands were built in RHD, of which only 194 were produced in the same year as this car. As a 1996 car, it benefits from the host of improvements applied to the Brooklands that year. These include new exterior styling, revised fascia and a more luxurious specification.
The vendor acquired this car in 2019 to join his private collection. It has been stored in a heated garage ever since. He tells us that he has amassed only 10,000 miles in those six years, limiting the car to show and special occasion usage. It has covered 60,000 miles in its 29 years.
The thick history file attests to regular maintenance and includes the original handbooks plus various tax discs. The current MOT runs to May 2026 with no advisories. All in, a fine example of these final SZ-series Bentleys.
The vendor says:
“Bentley Brooklands, quality top range motor car only ever used for Car shows and very special outings during my ownership.”
