The Appeal
In the mid 1990s if you wanted a GT car and you wanted the very best of everything, then you wanted Bentley’s Continental R. It was the fastest and most powerful car that the firm had ever built. That it was also the most expensive production car in the world tells you something about how rarified it was.
Just 544 were built in RHD, and the one you really want is a post-1997 model year car like this one. The only real giveaway is the 17in alloy wheels, indicating that these cars got a massive power hike to 385bhp - from 330bhp - plus improvements to the interior, intercooler and ECU.
The current owner has spent in excess of £35,000 restoring this car to show standards. The car was purchased in June 2025 from a long time lady owner who acquired the car in 2026. The car is beautiful in every way and has been thoroughly restored and enhanced to the highest standards.
The history file backs up this impression, showing regular maintenance by main dealers and respected marque specialists. There are copies of recent invoices and spend supplied with the vehicle and extensive photographs documenting the renovation by SAS Automotive. Rare and brutally capable, the Continental R is one of the last cars from the ‘proper’ hand-crafted Bentley era. You will not find a better example at this price point.
