Highlights
- Classic red with upgraded alloy wheels
- Maintenance carried out in March 2026 including oil, filter and spark plugs
- Interesting project and opportunity to add value
The Appeal
When the two‑seat roadster market exploded in the 1990s, Fiat was a bit late to the party, but by the time it arrived it was worth the wait. Inspired by MG and Ferrari classics of the 1950s, the Punto-based Barchetta had all the style, flair and driving pleasure that had made Fiats a virtual definition of roadsters in the 1950s and 60s.
This 1997 Barchetta wears classic red paint and rides on upgraded wheels. Inside, the attractive cabin, with body-coloured accents, looks to be in good condition, as does the folding canvas roof. We’re told it was recently serviced in March 2026.
The car will need a new MOT before taking to the road this summer, but the seller assures us it starts and runs. There are a few cosmetic points to note in the photos. It’s an interesting project for the enthusiast looking to add value.
