The Appeal
Originally an independent tuning company before becoming part of the brand in 1990, AMG has been the go-to firm for extracting enormous performance from Mercedes-Benz road cars. The W202-based C36 AMG proved enormously capable, with 276 bhp on offer from its tuned 3.6-litre straight six.
This 1997 example is a rare find with its 040 Black paintwork. It has been meticulously maintained, with a major service conducted at the time of purchase in 2024, including an automatic gearbox service. It has been kept dry stored indoors and fuelled exclusively with Shell V Power during the vendor's tenure. The Merc remains in standard factory condition with no modifications, while Krown anti-corrosion treatment protects the body from corrosion.
