The Appeal
The TJ is the last evolution of the long-runned classic Wrangler. Unlike similarly utilitarian 4x4s, it melds comfort and capability with a healthy dose of sun-infused fun. With their removable doors and hard top, these are very versatile all-weather wagons.
The Sahara edition got the highly regarded 4L straight six Jeep engine plus a wider body. Finished in black, this very tidy example eschews the model’s graphics in favour of a more understated style, the effect completed by black alloys and chrome side steps. Inside there is a two-tone Saddle beige and Moss Green fabric interior that is well preserved.
It is in very good order throughout, the bodywork showing some scuffs and marks but nothing beyond what you might expect of a 27 year old vehicle. The vendor acquired it in 2022 and tells us that he has used it sparingly and dry stored it when not in use.
The extensive history file shows regular maintenance, which is recorded in a useful and clearly laid out spreadsheet that we have included in the photos. The current MOT runs to May 2026. The vendor tells us that the MOT tester remarked on the vehicle’s solid condition.
The vendor says:
“A really fun drive, especially with the roof and doors off in the summer. Me and my family will miss our short summer trips but it's time to upgrade to a bigger 4x4 family camping trips.”
