The Appeal
The Peugeot 106 Long Beach is a special edition of one of France's most celebrated superminis. Released primarily in markets such as Germany and Spain, the Long Beach added distinctive branding and unique interior trim to the already entertaining 106 package. With surviving examples of the 106 becoming ever harder to find, special editions like this are of particular interest to enthusiasts of lightweight French hatchbacks.
This 1998 example wears red paintwork with ‘Long Beach’ badging on the doors, over a cloth-trimmed interior with red patterned seat and door card inserts. Benefiting from air conditioning and fitment of an updated stereo with AUX and USB connectivity, and with an ITV valid until 2027, it would make a charming inner-city runaround, as well as an ideal first car for a new driver.
