The Appeal
Jeep’s XJ Cherokee is the sort of classic medium-sized SUV that Britain has never quite perfected. Compact, comfy, luxurious and as good on as it is off-road, it also adds decent power and a lovely soundtrack in the form of its AMC 242 4L straight six.
This 2000 XJ is one of the very rare ‘Orvis’ special editions, which were only available in the UK from 1999 to 2000. Finished in black with a tan leather cabin, neatly lined in plenty of walnut-effect trim, it sports a very elevated specification and looks supremely comfortable.
The vendor acquired it last year after it had been used for filming the Netflix film ‘Silent Hours.’ It still bears the series wording on its registration plates. We’re told that it has been well looked after and regularly serviced. It carries MOT to January 2026.
This is a good example of the well-regarded XJ and would work as a family workhorse, tow vehicle or, with that interesting history, a potential show star.
The vendor says:
“Big beefy cruiser, I’ve loved it. Everyone who gets to relax in the back loves it. No other cars on the road like it. So much fun to drive, especially on the back roads.”
