The Appeal

The final version of Mercedes-Benz illustrious R129 only had to tweak a winning formula. New V6 engines and lightly updated styling, including body colour trim, make these last cars popular with enthusiasts.

Finished in attractive Brilliant Silver with matching hard top and smart black leather cabin, this is a well specified example of these final cars. It has the 2.8L M112 V6 engine, which offers a decent blend of economy and performance perfect for long road trips with the top down.

Despite the passage of 25 years there are few signs of this car’s age - it looks at least half its age. The service history is similarly indicative of carefully keepers, showing a run of regular servicing to late 2023 with few miles since. The last service was comprehensive, covering coolant and brake fluid flush, oil change and all new filters. In 2021 the car received nearly £4,500 of work across brake pipes, fluids and a range of minor repairs. It all points to a well kept car.

Paintwork to panels presents very well with only minor marks to note
These include some light scuffs to the body colour bumpers and side trim
Bodywork is very well kept with only very minor points to note in photos
