The year 2000 Classic Mini Cooper 1.3MPi represents the very last chapter of the original Mini story — a car whose fundamental layout remained true to Alec Issigonis's 1959 masterpiece right to the end of production. By this final iteration, fuel injection, an airbag and an immobiliser brought modern-day practicality, yet the essential character — that famous go-kart handling, the compact footprint and the unmistakable silhouette — remained wonderfully intact. These last-of-the-line Coopers are increasingly sought after as the definitive version of the classic Mini.
This example was acquired by the current vendor in 2018 and added to a Mini collection. It has been serviced exclusively at J.D. Motors, a Mini specialist workshop, with invoices available to document the maintenance carried out.
