The Appeal
The C70 broke the mould, and before the C70, the Volvo mould was rather boxy. The new car changed all that, introducing a style that was unmistakably Volvo but much more stylish. For those seeking a reliable and very comfortable four-seat convertible, these cars make perfect sense and are an interesting alternative to more common German rivals.
This 2000 C70 is fitted with the firm’s 160bhp 2L light-pressure turbo petrol engine and a 5-speed manual box. It sports a very appealing colour scheme of Turquoise Pearl metallic with beige leather. Thanks to the low mileage and care of its few, generally long-term keepers, it is in really good, tidy condition.
The service history shows a similar story. The vendor bought the car in 2021 and has continued to service it regularly, irrespective of mileage. The last service was in 2023 at 44,685 miles. It has barely covered 100 miles since. The current MOT runs to July 2026.
There are a few minor cosmetic points to note outside, but they aren’t immediately visible unless up close. Whether you want some open-top wheels for local trips to the pub or something to suit a longer road trip, this well-kept car fits the bill.
The vendor says:
“The vehicle is in lovely condition for a 25-year-old car, and turns a few heads in the past when I was fit enough to drive it. It is a superb Summer touring car. I will miss it.”
