Get the much-loved W208, throw in the whopping AMG spec pack, and you've got one of the peaks of the marque's 21st-century output. Its hand-assembled 5.4-litre AMG V8 delivered effortless, muscular performance in a package that remained discreet enough for everyday use. Production was tightly controlled: only around 400 Cabriolet examples were built for the European market, and fewer than 10 right-hand drive cars were delivered to the UK. That exclusivity made for big news, too; it was reserved for select clients at a list price of approximately £75,000.
