The Appeal
The original Boxster finally achieved what Porsche had been aiming for over decades: a proper alternative to the 911, one delivering a very different driving dynamic. For many the 986 Boxster with the 2.7L engine is the purest version: later cars got more power, but the 2.7L original provides decent ‘real world’ performance that’s ideal for everyday driving.
This Deep Black 2000 2.7L Boxster has covered less than 58,000 miles from new. It is fitted with the versatile Tiptronic 5spd gearbox that offers full or semi-automatic shifts. The vendor informs us that it has been well-maintained. There is a recent APK certificate that ran to February 2026.
This car appears to be a good, low mileage and very usable early Boxster.
