The Appeal
There are halo cars, and then there’s the Vanquish. It is one of Ian Callum’s best designs, a sinuous homage to classic Astons, plus a pointer to the cars of the future. The construction offered a similar approach, blending old-school handcrafting with advanced, lightweight aluminium-based technology. Just 1,492 standard cars were built and they were the last assembled at the firm’s historic Newport Pagnell home.
This 2003 car began its life in the USA before being exported to France. It eschews the more common greys and silvers in favor of a pleasing mix of Antrim Blue metallic with Magnolia leather. Throughout, it is in very good order thanks to its low mileage of under 31,000 miles.
As with any Aston, the key area is maintenance. This car has been maintained by main dealers and specialists throughout its life, most recently in 2022 at 25,000 miles by Aston Martin Brussels. Two new tires were fitted in 2024. The current state inspection runs to August 2027.
The Vanquish is one of the most collectible modern Aston Martins. This very tidy, well-kept and properly maintained car is a chance to discover exactly why.

Antrim Blue is one of the classic shades normally associated with 70s and 80s Astons. It complements Ian Callum’s lines and works well with the contrasting light Mahogany interior. The car is in very good condition throughout, with only light wear to usual high traffic areas such as the driver’s bolster and some interior trim.
Usual vulnerable exterior points such as the front alloy wheels and bumpers appear largely free of damage, and show a level of wear below what buyers might expect from a car of this age.
The Mechanics
- Hand-built 460bhp 5,935cc V12 engine
- Six-speed automated manual transmission
- The vendor reports no mechanical work is required
- Reported to drive very well with smooth gear changes
- Well-maintained by Aston Martin and specialists as above
The Vanquish got a 460bhp version of the firm’s hand-built 5.9-litre V12, also mated to the semi-automatic six-speed gearbox. This car has only ever been maintained by main dealers and specialists, with the service book supporting the low displayed mileage.
The car comes with the added appeal of a lengthy state safety and emissions inspection valid through August 2027.
