The Appeal
Fuelled by Ferrari funding and know-how, the 4200GT was a serious return to grand touring form for Maserati. Power came from Maranello’s F136 V8, the drivetrain was rebalanced to incorporate a transaxle, the steering was sharpened up, and the suspension retuned compared to the outgoing 3200GT.
These cars make charismatic alternatives to their German and British rivals. This low-mileage 2003 car is one of the tidiest we’ve seen in a while; its black metallic with a luxury tan leather cabin presents well in photos. It is a two-keeper car, the first retaining it until 2025. That Ferrari engine is mated to the clever semi-automatic Cambio Corsa gearbox.
The service history is detailed below, and the car comes to market with an MOT to September 2026 containing no advisories. The vendor tells us that it drives as it should with no issues.
