The Appeal
The original Vanquish achieved two things - a ‘halo’ car that marked Aston’ resounding return to form, and one of the greatest movie cars of all time. The car’s appearance in Die Another Day puts it in the top three of all-time greats according to film fans.
Just 1,086 high-performance ‘S’ models were built. These cars got a power increase to 520 bhp from 460 bhp, plus sharper aesthetics and handling. This 2005 car leans into the Bond theme with its dark grey metallic paintwork and black leather.
It is a low mileage car that has had just three keepers from new, the current one since 2022. The sparing use is supported by MOT records and the comprehensive Aston Martin service history showing 19 service stamps. In 2024, the car was dispatched to specialist V12Vanquish.com for £7,600 of checks and work, including a subframe refurbishment and full service. The current MOT runs to April 2026 with no advisories. The model-specific private registration is included in the sale.
The brutally quick Vanquish S is one of Aston Martin’s greatest cars. Those movie connections and this car’s impeccable provenance make it sorely tempting.
The vendor says:
“Amazing car made even better by the James Bond connection.”

The Vanquish S was Aston Martin’s halo car, notably dialling up the 5.9L V12 to 520bhp from the standard car’s 460bhp. With all that power on tap, the key to any purchase of these rare cars is provenance and maintenance.
This car’s maintenance history is genuinely impeccable, which is not a word we apply often. The car shows a run of servicing by main dealers and specialists with virtually annual attendance irrespective of mileage. We’ve detailed the servicing above and you can inspect it in the photos.
The car went to specialist V12Vanquish in early 2024 for checks, with a remit to rectify any necessary remedial work. The resulting invoice shows a refurbished subframe, service and raft of other work that attends to various areas of the car. You can inspect the work in the photos.
The car comes to market with a useful advisory-free MOT.
