The Appeal
Jaguar had previous. When it came to the S-Type R the firm used the template of the XJR. For buyers then and now, that was a very good thing because it delivered a viscerally quick 400bhp, RWD super saloon with the character and cossetting ride of a Jaguar.
The S-Type R was also a firm return to the Q-car saloons of the 60s, like the original 3.8L Mk2 that influenced its styling. Just 1,274 S-Type Rs were sold in the UK.
This very low mileage example has been carefully maintained and presents much as it surely would have done when it left the showroom in 2004. A facelift model, it has recently been serviced and comes with the reassurance of a long MOT.
