The Appeal
Few cars do ‘effortless’ quite like a good R230 V8. Supremely comfortable, spacious and practical and, of course, very quick, these are cars for long-distance runs. And then there’s that clever folding hard top, which influenced a generation of sports cars.
This 300bhp SL500 is a low mileage car in Brilliant Silver metallic with black leather. The vendor acquired it in 2021 and tells us that the previous two keepers were well known to him. He has serviced it in the interim and also fitted four new tyres to the refurbished AMG five spoke rims. The current MOT runs to July 2026.
The vendor says:
“The car is in perfect running order and is a joy to drive, especially when the roof is down. I have most of the invoices relating to the car. It is a fantastic drive and is extremely comfortable. On a warm summer's day, it is a joy to drive, powerful, smooth - a great looking car.”
