The Appeal

The decision to take on the top Italian and Japanese marques with a brand new, homegrown bike was certainly a bold one, but Issoire-based Voxan firmly delivered. Powered by its own fruity 996cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke V-twin producing approximately 100 hp, the 190kg Roadster is extremely quick and highly rated for its stable handling.

Just 3,000 were built, making this 2004 example increasingly collectable. It has had just two keepers in its life, both of whom are said to have garaged it when not in use. The first one modified it, giving buyers the option of custom red metallic body fittings or the original silver finish, as shown in the photos. Bags, a second saddle and some spare parts are also provided.

Handwritten notes in the photos indicate that it has been well maintained and it comes with a usefully long Controle Technique valid to November 2027. Voxans are hard to find for sale; this one has the added advantage of twin-character custom or standard body fittings.

The vendor says:

“Purchased in June 2018, I am the second owner; no major work carried out but very regular servicing, see details. Vehicle has always been kept under cover by both successive owners. I protect it with a cover whilst it is on a workshop stand.”
