The Appeal
With styling that harks back to the E-Type, but with a very modern chassis, the XK8 was a superb grand tourer, the likes of which Jaguar could really do with in its range today. This 2005 example is the rare White Badge, a final edition model, with only 187 units produced. These cars were distinguished by a revised white Jaguar 'Growler' badge on the bonnet with chequered flag accents, and darkened rear light clusters much like the later XJS models.
This example boasts the rare optional carbon fibre interior trim that replaced the traditional elm wood veneer. It benefits from comprehensive recent mechanical work, including a rebuilt rear differential, new brake components, and rust treatment, ensuring it's ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
The vendor says:
"Recent labour of love to get this beautiful car to its correct condition. All major works are complete, making this one of the best in the UK. In the last 6 months, it's had a mini overhaul, including a new battery, rear sills replaced, brake discs and pads all round, ATF fluid change, new headliner and rear diff rebuilt. This alone totals well over £8k. A longer list of bits done to ensure it's on the road, driving as well as possible. This is all to ensure the new keeper is confident in their purchase.
"No electrical gripes. This white badge model offers modern luxury and classic looks, including heated seats, parking sensors, heated front and rear windows, auto wipers, and auto lights. Inside is factory black leather and carbon, rather than wood. Full service history, just been serviced by XJ Specialists in Bentley, Nov 25. I couldn't sell this car without making it right. It needs an enthusiast to be looked after and cherished."
