The Appeal
The Mk2 MX5 lightly tidied up the original’s aesthetics and improved the refinement and safety. These later cars make great alternatives to older classics because they deliver modern levels of reliability and comfort.
The Arctic was a special edition that added heated seats, air conditioning and bespoke alloys to the standard 1.8L 140bhp specification. This very tidy 2005 is finished in dark grey metallic and in very good, original condition. It has covered less than 27,000 miles from new in the hands of just four keepers. The usual MX5 check areas present well.
The vendor acquired the car in 2023 and has continued to maintain it well. The cambelt was changed in 2023, with few miles since. The car is said to have been always garaged by the current keeper. It comes to market with the added reassurance of a lengthy MOT to May 2026.
This is a very tidy example of the Mk2 MX5 in an appealing specification.
The vendor says:
“It’s like new. Lovely to drive with or without the hood over. We are just getting too old to enjoy it now.”
