The Appeal

The X350-generation Jaguar XJR sits at the top of the aluminium-bodied XJ range. Powered by a supercharged 4.2-litre V8 producing 400bhp, it married genuine performance credentials with the refinement and luxury expected of Jaguar's flagship saloon. The XJR was produced in far smaller numbers than its naturally aspirated siblings, and today commands a devoted following among those who appreciate a fast, discreet and beautifully appointed British super saloon.

The factory specification of this 2006 example is extensive, as detailed on the accompanying window sticker, and includes embossed R-style leather seating, three-stage heated front and rear seats, adaptive cruise control, DVD-based navigation, a 320-watt Alpine sound system with 12 speakers and a six-disc CD changer, ECATS active suspension, Brembo brakes, 19-inch Sabre alloy wheels and a power glass sunroof, among many other features.
