The Appeal
The end of Defender production in January 2016 marked the end of a motoring institution. Land Rover wanted to ensure the long-lived model ended on a high note. Released in 2015 as part of Land Rover's "Celebration Series", the retro-inspired Defender Heritage Edition was a fitting send-off to a 68-year global production run.
Finding one of these Heritage Editions is an exceedingly tall order, so we're delighted to present this well-executed homage, built using a 2006 Defender 90 TD5. The car has been in current ownership since 2022, during which time it is reported to have been a dependable and well-cared-for machine. It comes with significant invoices from the likes of Avenger 4x4 and Nene Overland, with works including attention to the brakes and the fitting of a new turbocharger. The bodywork has been resprayed in Atlantic Green, with other Heritage Edition-inspired appointments including the front grille, galvanised bumper and cappings, colour-matched Wolf-style wheels, and embroidered seats. Sensible upgrades include LED lighting, a Pioneer sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, and a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel.
Registered before the April 2006 road tax changes, it also benefits from capped annual vehicle excise duty, a practical bonus for any prospective keeper. image.png1.66 MB

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
