The Appeal
The early 4.3-litre manual V8 Vantage Roadster is widely regarded as the purest expression of Aston Martin's VH-platform cars — analogue, compact and mechanically engaging in a way that its later, more powerful siblings never quite replicated. With a naturally aspirated V8 mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, these handsome cars offer a driving experience rooted in feel and feedback, and it is these early manual Roadsters that are now attracting the keenest attention from informed buyers.
This late-2007 production example was originally supplied new by Aston Martin Edinburgh at a cost close to £100,000 and has remained within the Aston Martin ecosystem for the majority of its life. It has covered just 22,005 miles from new in the hands of only two registered keepers, the first of whom stored the car at Aston Martin Edinburgh during winter months. The current keeper acquired it through the same dealership in December 2017 and has kept it as part of a small enthusiast collection alongside a Ferrari F12, 458 Speciale and several classic automobiles — always garaged, never driven in poor weather and never exposed to winter road salt.
The result is a car that the vendor describes as being in collector-grade condition. The Tungsten Silver paintwork is stated to be entirely original and has been professionally depth gauged across all panels, confirming consistent readings with no evidence of prior repair. The underside is reported as clean and free from corrosion. Inside, the Obsidian Black leather and Gun Metal facia are described as well preserved, with defined seat bolsters and no sticky switchgear.
Serviced annually regardless of mileage, and accompanied by a comprehensive history file, factory build sheet, original bill of sale and stamped service book, this is a thoroughly documented and carefully preserved example that's bound to attract attention. 28 ASTON MARTIN V8 HIGH RES (1).jpg7.4 MB

Good evening. I assume that the ‘discrepancy’ in mileage in 2023 by Robinsons on their invoice is simply a typo? Thanks Tom

Good evening Tom,
Thank you for your message.
Yes, that’s correct, the discrepancy on the 2023 Robinsons invoice is simply a clerical error. The correct mileage at that time was 20,254, which is clearly recorded in the service book. When you cross-reference and correlate this with the rest of the service history, everything aligns consistently.
There’s no cause for concern at all, and the history remains fully coherent and verified.
Of course, if you’d like me to go through it with you in detail, I’d be more than happy to.
