The Appeal
The SC430 was part of Lexus’ bid to best Mercedes at its own game, this time taking on the illustrious SL ‘Sport Leicht’ line. Beautifully engineered and utterly reliable, these 300bhp V8-engined cars make comfortable, relaxing long-distance cruisers, like the Stuttgart cars, but far rarer.
This very tidy 2007 is barely run by Lexus standards in at a shade over 61,000 miles. The silver paintwork and wood-trimmed black leather cabin look barely used. The service book supports the low mileage and shows regular attention by Lexus and Toyota main dealers through 2019, to around 49,000 miles. More recently, the radiator, timing belt and water pump were replaced in September 2023 at 54,500 miles. The current MOT runs to October 2027 with no advisories.
