The Appeal
For those seeking a SUV that errs more towards comfort and practicality than a stiff, sport-oriented set up, there is Volvo’s well-regarded XC. The first generation was a huge success, precisely because of its surefooted, safe and relaxing Volvo-ness.
Most XC90s were equipped with diesel engines, so this 4.4L V8, complete woth AWD, is a serious rarity. That B8444S engine is good for 311bhp, giving it the pace to match BMWs and Audis. The seven seat layout makes it hugely practical - whether carrying many people or lots of stuff instead.
The vendor bought it new and it has always been used as a second vehicle. That explains the very low mileage of just 28,500 miles and, in turn, the well kept condition inside and out. We’re told that it has been well maintained with regular servicing, including a recent alternator repair. The last service was in January 2026. It is said to run and drive well with no known issues. The current MOT supports that impression - it runs to February 2027 with no advisories.
