The Appeal
Owning an Aston Martin is on many, many enthusiasts’ wish list, and so it was for the late husband of the current keeper of this Aston Martin. Jack, a former RAF Phantom Fighter Squadron Leader always hankered after an Aston Martin and finally realised his ambition in November 2022.
Jack chose well as this Onyx Black DB9 is a particularly presentable example in a desirable colour. It’s a tasteful alternative to the more common greys and silvers. A low mileage car with continuous service history from a main dealer and a specialist independent.
The factory specification includes 19 inch fifteen spoke alloys, upgraded front grille, walnut veneer facia and door cappings, grey brake callipers, front parking sensors, charcoal grey seat belts, personalised sill plaques, auto dim mirror, garage door opener, and a high spec alarm system.
The vendor writes:

The Condition

- Body work presentable with no parking dents
- Condensation in nearside headlight
- Slight corrosion on both rear arches with light hedgerow scratching on rear offside wing which vendor says may polish out.
- Very minor corrosion specs on roof by rear window & nearside of bonnet.
- Rear tyres will require replacement in the near future according to vendor.
- Wheel rims in average condition with nearside front wheel rim kerbed
- Interior in Sandstorm leather in presentable condition; showing light wear on driver’s seat bolster
- Prior dampness has resulted in some lifting of the leather covering on top of the dashboard, and cracking of veneer on dash; hindering from time to time the satellite unit being raised
- Overall the vehicle is very presentable but not pristine according to vendor
