The Appeal
When a vendor says “I’ve spent time making this XKR one of the best” you know it deserves your attention. This 2009 X150, finished in attractive Frost Blue, just like the Jaguar Advanced Lightweight Coupe concept car, is one of the last 4.2L supercharged models and benefits from a high factory specification.
It has covered less than 36,000 miles in its time, including just 8,000 since the vendor acquired it in 2017. He has only used it in dry sunny weather, primarily for shows and displays, and you can see why, judging from the photos, it is a really good example of Jaguar’s beautiful first aluminium-bodied, petrol-powered GT car.
The car has full service history to 35,000 miles in 2023 and benefits from a long list of maintenance and improvements designed to deliver the vendor’s stated goal. Recent work includes refurbishing the wheels and callipers. All four tyres are also new within the last 200 miles, replaced with factory correct Pirellis.
Many buyers are hoping to find a car where someone has lavished care and attention upon it, ideally whilst using it sparingly. This is just such a car. As such, we expect it to be popular. It comes with the added advantage of a lengthy, advisory-free MOT to April 2026.
The vendor says:
This vehicle is simply stunning in terms of looks and condition. Drives like new, the ride smooth and quiet, yet it can also become Dr Jackal if you wish. The exhaust notes are simply wonderful, as is the 4.2 litre V8 Supercharged engine. I've even got 32 mph over a long slow cruise.”
