The Appeal

The trouble with the German-built Type 2 Volkswagens is that they're getting on a bit. Even the youngest Bay Windows are now 46 years old, so it's increasingly hard to find one that isn't showing its age. That's where Bazil-made buses come up trumps. Brazilian production ended in 2013, so there are a good many Type 2s that aren't all that old. Here's one of them: a particularly fine camper-converted example from 2009.

The interior boasts a full-width rock-and-roll bed, custom wooden finishes throughout, and modern amenities including USB charging points and a Bluetooth sound system.

What makes this particular vehicle appealing is its well-maintained condition and low mileage, having been stored indoors for approximately half of its life. The recent MOT pass and the complete external body paint touch-up demonstrate the care that has been invested in this camper. With its clutch replaced approximately four years ago and minimal use since, this VW Brazilian awaits its next custodian.
