The well appointed interior of the Discovery presents very well. Finished in black with plenty of chrome trim it doesn’t just look good, but thanks to a long list of features that include ride height adjustment, bluetooth stereo with screen, heated seats and dual zone climate control it also provides a surprisingly luxurious driving experience.
As a Land Rover it is of course also very practical; in the boot you will find two fold up seats and you can fold all of the rear seats perfectly flat providing a huge load area. The seats, headlining, dashboard, door cards and carpet are all in very good condition, with the only real signs of wear being two small patches in the carpet of the boot along with one scuff on part of the plastic trim in the boot as pictured.

The Discovery 4 was a big leap forward in terms of styling over the previous generations and this one with factory fitted tinted windows, metallic grey paint, chrome vents and Land Rover alloy wheels looks simply fantastic. There are signs of wear to the wheels as shown in the images, but this really doesn’t detract from the fantastic overall impression this Discovery makes. Its modern design coupled with rugged good looks make for what we think is one of the best looking Land Rovers to date.
The Mechanics

The highlight of the Discovery has to be the fantastic, bulletproof V6 diesel engine. With plenty of power and a whole heap of torque it pulls the car along effortlessly, and when you lower the ride height and take control of the gears via the paddle shifters it makes for an exhilarating driving experience. The engine bay is clean and tidy and the underside presents well with only the usual very light surface corrosion visible. It starts easily with a push of the button and the owner informs us that it drives perfectly, accelerating very well and shifting smoothly. With a new timing belt fitted last year and with MOT until April 2023 it’s ready to enjoy.
Summary
The Discovery 4 offers a level of refinement and luxury not seen before in the Discovery lineup and this one with lots of extras and only one owner in the logbook is a fantastic example of this great car. The 3L V6 makes driving it an absolute pleasure, ranging from effortless to exhilarating depending on what you want, this discovery packs a lot into one car. As well as looking gorgeous and providing a fantastic driving experience, it’s also practical; with a huge load area and seven seats it offers ultimate flexibility.
