The Appeal
The R172 made Mercedes’ SLK more comfortable and, to some, more grown up - a fully rounded, highly usable car with the added bonus of that clever folding hard top to provide year-round usability.
This SLK350 with its M276 306bhp V6 is a rare car because most are the four-cylinder models or tyre-scrabbling AMGs. For sporting drivers it offers a decent balance of both. This very tidy, low mileage car is attractively finished in Tenorite Grey metallic with black leather and a desirable array of options including Apple CarPlay, rear camera ans Airscarf.
The marque enthusiast keeper acquired the car in 2023 and is only selling because he has bought an R129. He has continued to maintain it well, as did previous keepers. The service history shows a run of 10 stamps by main dealers and specialists up to March 2026. Other recent work includes attention to the ABS system and new front pads and discs. The AMG five-spoke alloys have also been refurbished and fitted with new tyres that have 500 miles on them. The current MOT runs to March 2027 with no advisories.
This R172 rarity would suit the press-on driver and the passenger who enjoys their comforts. In fine order, it represents a canny buy.
