The Appeal
Until the arrival of the sixth-generation Mustang, enthusiastic drivers with a love of Americana had to accept a compromise, one that became apparent whenever a corner arrived. The new car changed all that thanks to its independent rear suspension. Finally, there was a pony car that went as well through bends as it charged down straights.
So this is the Mustang you want and the 5L, with its 440bhp and rumbling soundtrack, is the cream on a very appealing cake. This Race Red V8 comes with the manual 6spd box and is in extremely good condition, thanks to its very low mileage of 10,600 miles.
The photographs indicate that the limited use has kept the car very close to ‘as new spec.’ We struggled to find signs of age around the exterior and interior. Unusually for a low mileage car it has been serviced properly, the history file and service book showing a run of regular attention irrespective of mileage. In recent years the car has been looked after by Mustang specialists GT101 who have also undertaken annual body and paint checks. The last service was immediately prior to sale. GT101 has also undertaken annual body and condition checks since 2023 with the last checks were in April 2026. The car has barely covered 300 miles since. The current MOT supports the sense of a well-sorted car - it runs to September 2026 with no advisories. The current owner over the last 3.5 years has only used it in fair weather for car shows and events etc and has been told that it has always warmed up sympathetically and only used super unleaded fuel.
Whether you choose to get out and enjoy it, or continue this car’s theme of sparing preservation, here is a chance to discover one of the best Mustangs from a long lineage.
