The Appeal
The 991 came in many flavours, but this car, the elegantly-named Carrera 4 GTS, is widely regarded as the range’s sweet spot. And with good reason. Planted AWD drivetrain, viscerally quick 3L 450bhp powerplant and plenty of Porsche engineering goodies like PTV Plus and Sport Chrono.
This Graphite Blue car has covered just 26,000 miles from new and is in suitably well-presented condition. It is tastefully specified, the paintwork complemented by black 20in multispokes while inside there is a swathe of black leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre.
The vendor tells us that the car has been very well maintained. The work has been done by main dealers and specialists and is highlighted in the photos. The MOT runs to June 2026 with no advisories.
As a 2018 model, this car gains the ‘991.2’ improvements, including the all-new 3L flat six that would go on to power the 992. Cosmetic improvements, a better gearbox and improved technology for the suspension and chassis all set these later caars apart. This one is a very rare specification of the highly regarded 911. It is also arguably the best 991 variant.

Buying any 911 is all about specification - cosmetic and mechanical. This car scores in both areas thanks to its popular Graphite Blue paintwork with neat detailing like the black 20-inch multispoke alloys and well-kept leather and Alcantara interior with its carbon fibre highlights.
As you might expect of a car that has covered very few miles the whole, inside and out, is in very good order. We struggled to spot any of the usual signs of age and wear, such as front stone chips or driver’s seat bolster wear. Buyers should be realistic, but this low-mileage car wears its seven years very lightly.
The Mechanics
- Desirable 991.2 specification 2,981cc flat six 450bhp engine
- 7spd PDK automatic transmission
- 0-60 mph in 3.6 secs

The second-generation 991 was significantly overhauled compared to the earlier version. In came a brand new 3L flat six engine plus revised gearbox, chassis and suspension. For the cognicenti, the latter car is the one to have.
Alongside the luxury specification, the C4 GTS adds sure-footed All Wheel Drive and a power hike to 450bhp. These cars also got an array of clever Porsche engineering that tames the handling and power delivery. No wonder CAR magazine called this model the ‘sweet spot’ in the range and the ‘ultimate all-rounder.’
With just 26,000 miles from new and a run of main dealer and specialist servicing, this is a well-sorted example. The lengthy MOT with no advisories reinforces that point.
