The Appeal
The original Moke was conceived as a British military vehicle, so it’s appropriate that this fetching modern remake is finished in Air Force Blue with roundels and Union Jack to reinforce the patriotic theme. It looks much like the original, but Moke International thoroughly re-engineered the concept, incorporating modern mechanicals and a longer, wider and more comfortable layout.
To launch the idea in 2018 , the firm built just 56 cars, that number chosen to reflect the 56th anniversary of the original. Power comes from a Chery Acteco 1.0L DOHC 68bhp 16V petrol engine, mated to a 5spd automatic box with sequential shift options.
This example was built in 2022 and comes with a factory build certificate. In the intervening years, it has been used very sparingly, covering little over 2,000 miles. Thanks to the sparing use, it is in very good order with few signs of use. The service book shows a Hendy Honda service at 993 miles in 2023 and the current MOT runs to June 2027 with no advisories.
Very rare, great fun and in great order, this is a chance to buy a Moke set up for the modern world.
