The Appeal
The Morgan Super 3 first hit the market in 2022, and - as you'd expect from the Malvern Mavericks - was a pretty straightforward evolution of what came before it. The big focus for the new Super 3 was stability, and while it lost the iconic V-twin engine, it gained a 3-cylinder car-derived unit in its place. These trikes really don't take anything too seriously - they're pure fun on wheels, with gentle modernisations throughout that raise the eyebrows of a Morgan purist without removing the legendary formula.
No wood frame, and no steel tubes either - everything here is based in wrought aluminium, manufactured at the traditional Malvern works where hand formed motoring is not only alive and well, but a way of life. While the V-Twin is no longer harnessed to the front, lots of clever engineering is proudly on display, creating a very visceral vehicle that defies modern expectations into an anarchic, anachronistic speedster.
There's usually a bit of a waiting list for the Super 3. Morgan's factory is a busy old place these days, and as motoring gets ever-more complicated and serious, a fun little vintage-styled motor has never been more popular. So when a fabulous, fully-optioned example comes to market, we naturally expect plenty of eyes upon it.
Carrying lots of fun aerospace-themed graphics, with an eyecatching matte black and yellow motif, this beautifully presented Super 3 is a fabulous little prospect for the enthusiast who wants the wind in their hair. It even comes with a suitably Mog-themed registration and its hardback build book.
