The Appeal
Rather than reinvent the wheel, (if you'll pardon the pun), Land Rover decided not to replace the Discovery 4 after five years in production. It opted instead to refine the already supremely capable platform, bringing the styling up-to-date and rectifying a selection of mechanical foibles which had arisen with the previous generation as it aged.
This late example, from 2016, is finished in the desirable hue of Santorini Black with a matching black leather interior.
It's been meticulously maintained, especially during the last couple of years, with recent major work completed, including the replacement of the EGR valves, full front exhaust system, and cambelt. It has never been used for towing or off-roading during present ownership and the Discovery comes with a folder of invoices, manuals, and all the original accessories.
