The Mercedes-Benz S Class has long set the benchmark for build quality in the world of luxury saloons and the W126 proved immensely successful. Offered with a range of capable engines, many are still in regular use to this day and we're delighted to offer once such late example.

  • Part of the headlining is loose over the parcel shelf
  • We can’t spot any signs of water ingress from the sunroof 
  • Boot is in good order with solid looking floors
  • Complete with warning triangle and a spare wheel

The Exterior 

  • Classic angular Mercedes-Benz profile with iconic grille
  • Bodywork in good order save for a small dent in the rear offside bumper
  • Blue-grey metallic paintwork in fair condition with minor blemishing and scratching
  • Some light corrosion is visible around the window frames and panel seams
  • Chromework carrying some patina and a corrosion spot to the front grille
  • Glasswork and lenses in good order with light wear
  • Some damage to the right-hand headlight wiper
  • Some scuffs and marks to the mirrors, though glasswork is in good order
  • Car is sat on period-accurate alloys, which have been replaced recently
  • Two alloys are missing their centre branding
  • Shod in a full set of Nexen tyres
  • Underneath, the car has some signs of surface corrosion throughout

The Mechanics 

  • Powered by the well-respected 3.0L M103 I6 engine
  • 4-speed automatic transmission
  • Engine bay is in fair order though is showing signs of age-commensurate wear
  • Some recent work done includes:
    • New ball joints
    • New anti roll bar drop links
    • New travers control arms
    • New front brake pipes
  • We’ve been informed that the car is in good working order with plenty of pull
  • The car is reportedly starting first time, every time, and driving well
  • We’ve no reports of any leaks, knocks, bangs or smoke

With a good, solid mechanical spec and a pleasant interior, this is a modern classic Mercedes-Benz that’s still highly usable, and should make a great choice of daily driver. Only minor work looks necessary to bring this up to true show standards.
