Fully restored to the highest quality
Fantastic details
With the Speedster, importer Max Hoffmann tried to make the Porsche brand popular in the USA.
For a price of only $2, 995, you could get the stripped-down version of the 356 without any features.
The vehicles only had a small emergency roof and plug-in windows.
The windshield could be easily removed for racing.
A large Porsche scene quickly developed, especially on the racetracks of Southern California, as the Speedsters were almost unbeatable.
A legend was born.
According to the owner's research, our Speedster was delivered new in Germany and later exported to the USA.
Previous owners from North Carolina, Florida and Georgia are documented by old US titles.
In 2006, the Porsche was brought back to Germany and subsequently completely restored to the highest quality by a workshop specializing in Porsche 356s.
The rear right side panel had previous damage, so this part was replaced with an original Porsche part. The tailgate, doors, fenders, and front mask are still original parts.
Extensive photo documentation of all restoration steps is available.
The unique quality of the vehicle is also confirmed by a valuation report from 2022 with a grade of 1.
For the paint job, the owner chose the historically correct 602 Speedster/ Sky Blue.
The engine is a completely overhauled replacement unit that has been upgraded to approximately 100 hp.
Furthermore, high-quality components were installed to underline the sporty character of the Speedster:
Sports bucket seats, Sebring sports exhaust system, stone guard, GT brake system, “Mangels” chrome rims, wooden steering wheel with spokes, additional closure of the front flap with leather strap
This Speedster is an uncompromising fun machine
