1935 Austin 12/ 4 Taxi Landaulette by Strachan, Registration BYK 711, Chassis 79132. We are selling this delightful Austin 12/ 4 based low rider taxi for executors. It has been beautifully restored with black and dark blue livery and dark blue leather upholstery and has many charming vintage accessories, including an original Taxi fare meter. It is supplied with a large history file including correspondence between previous owners stating that it was bought for £15 in 1966 (bill of sale in the file) and subsequently dry-stored for forty years before being purchased from Richard Edmonds Auction in October 2014 (lot 1784) as a restoration project. The file includes numerous restoration and parts bills, a V5 document, a 1950s buff logbook, a 1964 MOT certificate and related ephemera. A well-restored example which will probably require some light recommissioning, but now available at a fraction of its restoration costs. (Subject to 12% buyers' premium inclusive of VAT).
