Description
This is a delightful and well-restored early Morris Minor Traveller, first registered on 15th February 1954, and built between 29th January and 5th February of that year - a rare split windscreen Traveller, in very good condition indeed, and with original export-type dashboard. The vehicle was extensively restored in 2005, including full body rebuild and associated mechanical work. The car remains in very good condition, having been well maintained by the current owner of 12 years, and whilst in his care, it has been further improved, including refurbishment of the timber work. The upholstery is excellent and has clearly been renewed at some stage, with professionally fitted new headlining, carpets, and leather fronted seats. More recently, the wooden cappings inside the car and door panels etc have been renewed. You will see from the photographs that an original roof rack comes with the car – this is in very good condition and is a very straightforward job to fit. The car’s structure is good, with very clean underside, pretty much unmarked paintwork, and the doors all fit well. The engine bay is clean and tidy. This Morris is a delight to drive, with everything working well and plenty of power from its 1098cc engine and gearbox (this is a later engine of larger capacity and makes quite a difference to the performance of these cars). This car travels on very well indeed. Recent new tyres all round, servo brakes, recent battery and electronic ignition. In addition to the flashing indicators, there are working semaphores. Paperwork file includes Heritage Certificate, old MOT certificates, invoices and lots of photographs of the restoration, V5C.
