This very pretty, low mileage and original 1983 Yamaha XS650 Heritage Special, left the USA in 2020 with a documented 5594 miles on its clock, probably why it has survived so very well. When registered here in the UK in 2021 its MOT shows 5813 miles. The last MOT that was carried out in 2023 still with only 6216 miles. So while no we cannot guarantee any mileages, looking at its paperwork, its current displayed mileage of 6430 could well be correct? It is however now registered as “Historic” so no further MOTs, road tax or congestion charges apply. The Heritage Special was the last of Yamahas very successful XS650 range, only built for 2 years and 1983 being its last year. Gone were the mag wheels to be replaced with a special pattern set of spoke wheels, along with black carb bodies, black crank cases and other nice touches like electronic ignition. These bikes have always been rare, now even more so. And remember this is not a restored bike just a true survivor. It starts on the button, sounds and rides lovely. A great useable classic bike that would not look out of place on any show ground either. G
