Description
Initially imported from California in 2007 and subsequently sold by Revival in 2009, this car has proven to be a reliable and fun vehicle for the current owners previous 9 years of ownership.
Since import, the following works have been completed - Replacement of floors, sills and front tank support. Installation of three point front seatbelts, wooden 'Motolita' steering wheel and a period Blaupunkt radio - An overhaul of the lights, brakes and fuel tank have also been completed, along with a 'Waxoyl' treatment.
In 2012, the engine was removed and a top-end overhaul completed to include new pistons & cylinders, re-worked cylinder heads, fuel pump, generator, comprehensive detailing and a new pair of Weber 40IDF carburettors. Needless to say the engine runs well and last year the car completed over 600 miles on the West Country Rally without missing a beat.
In summary, a strong and reliable example which drives well and looks great. Though the paintwork and interior could be improved upon, this is a turn key driver that's ready to enjoy.
